Can you believe that you can do your nails for the price of a cup of coffee and actually do it better than a nail salon?

Hello everyone, Bobely is now online!  We're launching our new article!

Which girls doesn't like nail art? No one! (If you do, you'll love it after reading this article)

I love doing my nails, but it really damages my nails. I've shared nail polishes that are less damaging, but in the winter they dry too slowly and the styles are limited. So, I decided to try press on nails. Just stick the glue and patch onto your nails and you're done! You can change the style anytime, plus it's much cheaper than going to a nail salon, why not to love?

Isn't this exciting? However, there are also pitfalls with nail patches, but I've got you covered. Follow me step-by-step!

Step 1

Firstly, let's talk about the tools you need for nail patches. For those experienced girls, feel free to skip ahead! When you buy nail patches, they typically come with:

Alcohol pads: to clean the nail surface

Glue and jelly gel: to stick the patches

The glue sticks firmly and is difficult to remove with water. It lasts for 2-3 weeks, but removing it requires special nail removal glue, which is not only inconvenient, but also damages the nail surface.

Jelly gel lasts for about a week and can be easily removed with warm water. It's less damaging to the nails, so I recommend this for beginners!

Step 2

How to wear them?

This is the most important part! Many people say nail patches fall off when washing their hair or taking a shower. They may not doing it right!

I've practiced on many nail patch "guinea pigs" and have found the best method. So, let's get started:

a. Use a nail file to shape the nails, then rub the surface with sandpaper and clean with alcohol.

b. Choose a jelly gel that fits your nail size. Make sure it's not too big to avoid overflow.

c. Press down the jelly gel with your thumb to remove air, then use a wooden stick to firmly press the jelly gel at the edges, making it thin at the edge and thick in the middle. (This is the secret to avoiding overflow and not scratching your hair)

d. Peel off the plastic film on the jelly gel surface, choose the corresponding patch, and press it down at a 45° angle until it fully adheres to the nail surface. Then, press the edges firmly.

Step 3

How to remove the nail patches?

For jelly gel:

Removing the jelly gel is simple. Soak your nails in warm water for 5 minutes, then remove the nail patches using a small wooden stick. Clean the patches after removing them, and you can reuse them!

For glue:

Dip the nail remover with a wooden stick, then use the stick to gently lift up the nail piece along the side gap. Pry repeatedly until the nail piece falls off. After removing, use the armor products to care for the nails.

Step 4

Nail patch picks

After mastering the technique, you can choose beautiful nail patches. I am going to select some gorgeous non-custom and custom nail patches in Bobely ⬅click it:

Non-custom nail patches are thin plastic shells, machine-produced, come in sets of 24, and can choose the right size for your nails.

Custom nail patches are made by a nail artist and can be customized according to the size of your nails. Thickness, delicacy, and light therapy are comparable to nail salons, but compared to nail salons, it has great value for money!
